Geraldine Buck-Lesperance, a woman whose very presence was often described as "love covered in skin," passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2026, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. She was 74 years old. Born on September 21, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Geraldine lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and a deep connection to those around her.
Geraldine was a great friend to many, always offering a listening ear and compassionate heart. Lover of all animals especially dogs. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including her beloved hobby of crocheting, which brought both comfort and creativity into her days. She also had a special fondness for collecting giraffes and unicorns, treasures that reflected her unique spirit and whimsical nature.
Her family was the center of her world. Geraldine is lovingly survived by her children, Jeffrey (Shannon) and Vanessa (Brian) Cordes. She was a proud grandmother to Christopher, Alex, Noelle, Devin, Angelina, Johnathan, and the late Jeffrey Newkirk, and she delighted in her role as great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. These cherished relationships were a testament to the love she generously gave and received throughout her life. She never met a stranger and will be loved, remembered and missed by many family and friends.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her husband, Jeffrey Buck Sr., and by her grandmother, Eugina Faust, whose memories she held dear.
Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her legacy of love, friendship, and joy will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate to cross her path. Geraldine Buck-Lesperance’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with kindness, creativity, and unwavering love—a true testament to a remarkable woman whose spirit will forever endure.
She will be laid to rest at Cedar Creek Cemetery at a later date.
