Gilbert F. Marsch

Marsch, Gilbert F. Born to Eternal Life on January 1, 2014 at age 87. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Lampe) for 63 years. Loving father of Sharon (Scott) Karas and Chuck (JoAnn) Marsch. Cherished grandpa of Dan (Jennifer) Karas, Brian Karas, Eric Marsch, and Heather Marsch. Proud great grandpa of Aidan Karas. Dear brother of Lawrence (Grace) Marsch, Norma (Duane) Kreuziger & Marilyn (Ralph) Lewandowski. Preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Further survived by nieces, nephews and friends at Tudor Oaks. Gilbert proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for the City of Oak Creek Highway Department until his retirement. In his free time he was a charter member of Harvey Funk Legion Post 494, volunteered donating 220 pints to the Milwaukee Blood Center, enjoyed fishing & boating on Lower Nemahbin Lake and playing Sheepshead at Tudor Oaks. Visitation at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church (7963 S. 116th Street) on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 10 AM- 12:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 PM. Burial will be private at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight appreciated.
