Went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2026 at age 78. Lovingly survived by his wife Gladys (nee Zaborowski). Beloved father of David (Julie) Hakala and Suzanne Hakala. Proud grandpa of Ryan (Ryli), Allison (Charles) and great grandpa of Dean. Dear brother of Cheryl (David) Terzis. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Mt. Zion Church (3820 W. Layton Ave Milwaukee, WI) on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 9:30 AM until time of service at 11 AM. Burial with Military Honors will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Mt. Zion Church or the Honor Flight.
