Isabella T. Camp, affectionately known as Ella, passed away on November 28, 2025, in Greendale, Wisconsin, at the age of 102. Born on February 24, 1923, in Ayton, Scotland, Isabella captured the hearts of many during her long and vibrant life.
Ella was well known in the Village of Greendale, where her friendly demeanor and love for meeting people endeared her to all who crossed her path. She had a particular fondness for dogs, and her warm smile often brightened the day of those she encountered. Her engaging personality made her a beloved figure within the community.
A proud wartime bride, Isabella made the journey to the United States following World War II, embracing her new life with grace and determination. Throughout the years, she took an active role in her community, serving as a Reading Buddy at Canterbury Elementary School, where she nurtured a love for reading in the next generation. Her affinity for local culture was apparent as she frequently visited the shops in Greendale, fostering connections and friendships within her neighborhood. Isabella’s longstanding affiliation with the St. Andrews Society further exemplified her commitment to honoring her Scottish heritage and supporting her community.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Margaret (Robert) Wabiszewski, her cherished grandsons, Colin Wabiszewski and Graham (Christine Weisshaar) Wabiszewski, and Scottish nieces and nephews both here and abroad, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and community spirit.
Isabella was preceded in death by her husband, George G. Camp, her sister Margaret (William) Cow, her brother James "Alec" Dalgetty and her sister-in-law Elizabeth Camp. Their memories live on in the stories shared by loved ones and the lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Ella's name may be sent to St. Judes Childrens hospital.
