Our beloved father, Jack D. Pittser, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2026, at the age of 92, and was reunited with his beloved wife, Mary Ann Pittser. Jack was born in Hoopeston, Illinois, to Vernon and Cleo (Drollinger) Pittser. He graduated from Milwaukee Boys Tech in 1954.
In 1956, Jack married his grade school sweetheart, Mary Ann Meade, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with three children: Sherry (Allan) Olson, David (Tammy) Pittser, and Andrew Pittser. Jack was a proud grandfather of Chris Olson (Lucy Furka), Adam (Lindsey) Pittser, Nick (Hayley) Pittser, and Emily Pittser, and a loving great-grandfather of Jayden, Kamden, Rylan, and Rowan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert D. Pittser. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Jack was a lifelong and devoted Green Bay Packers fan, proudly holding season tickets since the 1960s. He and Mary Ann shared a love of travel, with some of their most treasured adventures taking them throughout Europe. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jack was proud to have served on the Board of Directors of Allen-Bradley Credit Union and the Allen-Bradley 10-Year Committee. He was a proud member of the Milwaukee Boys Tech football team that won the first city championship in the school’s history.
Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Greenridge Chapel, 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield, on Thursday, November 12, beginning at 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jack's name would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org)
