James E. Davidson

James E. Davidson, affectionately known as Jim, was born on June 21, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A cherished member of his community, Jim passed away on August 6, 2025, in the very city that he called home for his entire life.

Throughout his lifetime, Jim donned many hats, contributing to the fabric of his surroundings through various occupations. He began his career as a groundskeeper at the Zoo, later transitioning to work at the Domes. His commitment to service then led him to become a Milwaukee County Sheriff, after which he served as a security guard at Froedtert Hospital. In each role he embraced, Jim's dedication and service were evident, earning him the respect and admiration of those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Jim was known for his large heart and friendly demeanor. He was a friend to everyone he met, embodying a spirit of kindness that enriched the lives of many. Those fortunate enough to know him will feel the void left by his departure, as Jim was truly a remarkable person whose warmth and camaraderie touched countless lives.

An avid motorcycle rider, Jim reveled in the thrill of the open road. His beloved companions in the H.O.G. shared many road trips filled with laughter, adventure, and the liberating sensation of wind billowing through his hair. His passion for riding was matched only by his generous spirit, as he chose to be an organ donor. In his selflessness, he donated his eyes, providing a new opportunity for sight to several individuals, thereby continuing to touch the lives of others even after his passing.

Jim is survived by his brother Bob and Bob's partner Beverly, who, along with friends and family, will carry his memory forward.
