Janice A. Mushall, a beloved educator and cherished family member, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on February 21, 1940, Janice dedicated her life to teaching and nurturing young minds, working tirelessly at Jeremiah Curtin School from 1965 until her retirement in 1999. As a K4 to 4th-grade teacher, she embraced every moment with her students, always engaging them with her gentle teacher voice, and embodying a spirit of caring and curiosity.
A passionate baseball enthusiast, Janice held a special fondness for the Milwaukee Braves and Milwaukee Brewers, sharing this love with her family and friends. Her kind and loving spirit extended far beyond the classroom; she had a special bond with her great niece, Samantha, and great nephew, Joshua, cherishing every moment spent together. Additionally, her heart found joy in the company of her beloved family dog, T-bone, with whom she is now reunited.
Janice was not only an educator but also an adventurer at heart. Her love for travel took her around the world and she created beautiful memories while scuba diving and leading her family on two unforgettable Disney Cruises. Her zest for life and her insatiable curiosity left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She stood proudly having received her master's degree in education, a testament to her commitment and dedication to her profession. Throughout her life, Janice displayed a remarkable sense of responsibility, caring for her mother until her passing, demonstrating her unwavering love and devotion to family.
Janice is survived by her niece Sharon (Daniel) Christian, her great niece Samantha Christian, and her great nephew Joshua Christian, all of whom will carry the warmth of her memory forward.
She is preceded in death by her loving sister Joyce (Andy) Siwakowski and her devoted parents, Clement and Charlotte Mushall.
Her legacy of kindness, passion for teaching, and loving spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. Friends and family are invited to say their final goodbyes during a funeral service held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI, on February 7, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM, with a concluding service at 12:00 PM.
Janice A. Mushall will be deeply missed, but her remarkable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her.
