Jayelynne Sky Schettle

February 13th, 2011 – May 13th, 2026 It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, Jayelynne Sky Schettle.

She was born on the 13th of February, 2011. She left this world far too soon on May 13th, 2026, at just 15 years old.

Jayelynne was a freshman at South Milwaukee High School, and previously attended schools within the MPS and Kewaskum school districts.

Even at only 15, Jayelynne’s greatest accomplishments were the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the lasting impact she left on every person lucky enough to know her.

She was incredibly intelligent, ambitious, and had a heart dedicated to helping others.

She dreamed of becoming a teacher, attending nursing school to become an ultrasound sonographer, and one day adopting a child to give them a loving home.

To know Jayelynne was to experience a rare and irreplaceable kind of love.

She was spontaneous, yet adored everything cozy—fluffy blankets, weighted stuffed animals, and afternoon naps.

She was the comfort people turned to, the laughter in hard moments, and the person who could brighten a room just by walking into it.

Her beautiful spirit, contagious laugh, and caring heart made people feel seen and accepted exactly as they were.

More than anything, Jayelynne loved her family. She cherished spending time with her younger siblings, helping them with homework, and creating memories they will forever hold close to their hearts.

She shared an especially unbreakable bond with her oldest sister, Madison Schettle.

The two had even talked about getting matching shark tattoos—a symbol reminding each other to “just keep going,” because a shark must continue swimming to survive.

That meaning perfectly reflected Jayelynne’s quiet strength, resilience, and courage.

She is survived by her loving parents, Jessica Macklin (Daneau), Chenaniah “Mike” Schettle, and her bonus mom Jenna Schettle (Brannan); her sisters Madison, Adilyn, Everly, Melaney, and Delilah; along with countless family members, friends, classmates, and loved ones who will miss her beyond words.

Forever loved.

Forever missed.

Forever our Jayelynne.
