Committal Service
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeanette I. Kremski, lovingly known as Nettie who left us peacefully at her home in Muskego March 11, 2026. Born on September 5, 1942 in Peoria, Illinois, Nettie's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, kindness and generosity. Nettie was a cherished quilting instructor at Hearthside Quilters’ Nook, where she shared her passion for quilting and sewing with others. Her skills as an excellent quilt maker and seamstress earned her the accolade of "Best of Show" in the quilting competition at the Wisconsin State Fair, a testament to her dedication to artistry. She poured her heart into her work, and her creations will be forever treasured by those who embraced the warmth and beauty she infused into every stitch.
Throughout her life, Nettie was a devoted wife mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared a loving partnership with her husband, Doug for 64 ½ wonderful years. Together, they created a family that brought her immense pride and joy. Nettie is the beloved mother of Debbie (Rick) Stoddard, Chris (Jamie) Spencer, and Brad (Michelle) Kremski. She found endless happiness in her grandchildren Cassie (Josh) Schneller, Nick (Anna) Stoddard, Lauren (Rick) Szymanski, Adam Spencer, Jake Yingling and Aiden Kremski who were the light of her life. Her great grandchildren, Joey, Henry, Emme, Lyla, and Rosie, brought her so much happiness and filled her with laughter and love.
Nettie's gentle personality and loving spirit touched everyone around her. Her generosity was unmatched, always placing the needs of others above her own. Her caring created memories, especially during family gatherings where she instilled in her family the importance of togetherness and adventure.
She is survived by her siblings, Bob Wernsman, Beth Casey and Richard Wernsman, who will carry forward her legacy, warmth and kindness. Nettie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ray and Winnie Wernsman, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
Friends and family are invited to honor Nettie’s memory during the visitation on Sunday March 22, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a prayer service from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, at Max A. Sass & Sons Mission Hills Chapel, 8910 W. Drexel Ave, Franklin, WI. A reception and meal at the funeral home will follow the prayer service. Entombment will be Tuesday 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery, S22 W22890 E. Broadway, Waukesha, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Nettie’s life was a remarkable journey filled with compassion, creativity, and love. Though she will be profoundly missed, her spirit will forever be stitched into the fabric of our hearts.
