Latawiec, Jerome E. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19th, 2013. He was welcomed at Heaven's Gates by his son Kurt and his loving wife of 53 years, Virginia. What an amazing couple, the best parents anyone could ever want who gave their sons a wonderful childhood. He is survived by his sons Brian (Diana) and Kevin (Barb), his grandchildren Eric, Justin, Josh, Zach (Amanda), Luke, Katie and Aaron, his great-grandchildren Leyla, Liam and Kinley, many other family members, friends, neighbors, students and his special friend Joan. "Jerry" worked for Gugler Lithograph for many years. Over the years he had many passions in life. Among those passions was volunteering at St. Ann's Senior Center and Wilson Park Senior Center. He was also a proud lifelong US Marine who loved history and reading. Other passions included gardening and creating beautiful stained glass art pieces and he was a regular at Maria's Pizza since they opened. He was also a member of the St. Matthias Choir for many years. Visitation will be in ST. MATTHIAS CATHOLIC CHURCH (9306 W. Beloit Road, Milwaukee) on THURSDAY, October 24, 2013 from 5 to 6:45 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will celebrated at 7 PM with full military honors to follow. Special thanks to the staff of Froedtert Hospital, Horizon Home Care and Hospice, Lawless Family Hospice Center and especially to Jenn who managed Jerry's home-hospice care-Thank You Jenn! In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Wilson Park Senior Center.
