He lived a life defined by service, commitment, and friendship- first serving his country and then serving his community. We are forever grateful for his service in Vietnam and sacrifice for our freedom. His courage, dedication and commitment to our country will be remembered with honor and gratitude. After his service in the army, he continued his education at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), where he became a mechanical engineer. He then worked at Pressed Steel Tank and Heil Corporation. Leading him to a successful career before he went to proudly serve at the Milwaukee Fire Department. Jessie proudly dedicated 27 years of service to the Milwaukee Fire Department, where he built not only a career but a second family. Throughout those years, he formed countless close friendships and shared many wonderful memories with his fellow firefighters.
After retiring from the Milwaukee Fire Department, he and his beloved wife embraced a new chapter of life as snowbirds, spending their winters in Arizona. There, they made wonderful new friends and formed lasting friendships that became an important part of their lives. Retirement brought new adventures, including Jessie's love of jeeping in the desert, cherished memories and the opportunity to enjoy life surrounded by the people they loved. The friendships they made in Arizona quickly became their Arizona family. Along with the lifelong bonds he shared with his fire department family, will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
