Joba Garcia
February 14, 1933 — September 5, 2025
- Joba Garcia went home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 5, 2025 at age 92. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Marcelino Garcia. She was the proud mother of Sara (Joe) Roman and David (Marcella) Garcia. She was the cherished grandmother of Anthony, Rána, David, Jonathan (Hilary), Brittany (Jake) and Allison (Evan). Joba was also Great Grandma Garcia (GGG) to Finnegan, Addison, Kalina, Theo, Penelope and Elsie. Additionally she will be loved, remembered and missed by a wide net of family and friends.
- Joba leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, unconditional love and unmatched recipes. Her rice and beans have fans far and wide, and she brought a pot to nearly every event she attended. Beyond full bellies, she also served up words of wisdom and constant prayer.
- Visitation will be held at the Max A. Sass and Sons Funeral Home on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 12 PM until the time of service at 1 PM. Burial to follow at Good Hope Cemetery. The family would like to extend a thank you to VITAS Hospice & Palliative Care for the dedicated support they provided to Joba.
