John G. Crossman

John Gillis Crossman joined his wife of almost 40 years, Joan Marie Crossman, in eternal life on May 9, 2026.

Fiercely loyal to family and friends, John dedicated his life to providing for and supporting his three children Molly (Jacob) Schick, Sean (Kristen) Crossman, and Evan (Katie) Crossman. Devoted grandfather to Henry and Avery Schick, Ember and River Crossman, and Jack, Cooper, and Laney Crossman. Loving brother to Elizabeth Frei, caring uncle to Gregory (Mary) Frei, Lindsey (Mike) Smiley - John's spirit, humor, and love will be dearly missed.

An avid traveler and free spirit in his youth he went on to earn degrees in Mass Communication from UWM and video film editing from MATC, beginning a 35+ year career in media production. After 10 years at TMJ4 in Milwaukee he worked for private marketing agencies through retirement age before starting his own production company.

Visitation at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel on Wednesday, May 27 from 4-7 PM. Additional visitation at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 9306 W. Beloit Rd., on Thursday, May 28 from 10-10:45 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, support to Action WI (https://www.actionwiorg) is appreciated.
