John Lewis Thornton passed peacefully on April 4, 2026, at age 90. He was the husband of the late Elva Ann and the father of Mark and Jennifer. John was also the grandfather of Noah, Zoe, and Olivia Swanson, and the brother of Bill, Jean, and Mike.

John was a U.S. Navy veteran.

In accordance with John’s wishes, there will be no memorial or funeral services held.
