Joseph M. Finn, 76, Milwaukee died on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. He was born on November 23, 1949, to the late Robert and Mary Elizabeth (Carroll) Finn in Chicago, IL. Joseph was united in marriage to Amy Suha at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on July 6, 1974.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 52 years, Amy, his children Nate (Noriko), Matt (Sara) and Sarah (Tim), 6 grandchildren Jalen, Justin, Liz, Chris, Maddy, and Noah, and his brother David Finn. He was preceded in death by his siblings Fr. Robert E. Finn, S.J., and Kathleen Mary Finn Kay.

Joseph graduated from Loyola Academy in Chicago (1967) and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee (1971). He worked as a Housing Inspector for the Department of City Development in Milwaukee for 20 years, ensuring that rental properties were safe for tenants. He retired in 1998 because of vision impairment due to glaucoma.

He will be remembered as a kind, good humored, and intelligent man. He loved listening to music, particularly Neil Young, John Prine, and Richard Thompson. He kept up with sports all his life. After moving to Milwaukee, he rooted for the Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks, but maintained an affinity for the Chicago Bears. He was especially gifted with knowledge of history and geography, and retained his sense of direction even after losing his eyesight much to the marvel of his wife and children.

Joe loved spending time with his family and he will be deeply missed.
