Josie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Stanton, as well as her children: Bruce (the late Jane) Stanton, Joanne (the late Larry) Schott, and Connie Stanton; her daughter-in-law, Sherri Stanton; and her great-granddaughter, Kaylie Stanton.
She is remembered and survived by her loving family, which includes her children: Barbara (Scott) Overby, Michael (Shelly) Stanton, and Jackie (Peter) Ostrowski. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Christine, Jamie, Joseph, Lisa, Tammy, Lawrence II, David, Michelle, Jenny, Lori, Michael, Melissa, and Emily. In addition, she is survived by many great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, who will carry her memory forward for generations to come. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Josie cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, always finding joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by family, and she loved to babysit, embracing every opportunity to be involved in the lives of the young ones. Anything that had to do with children brought her immense happiness, and her warmth and caring nature left a lasting impression on all those she cared for.
In addition to her love for family, Josie found great enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life. She especially looked forward to attending fish frys. Josie also enjoyed the excitement of playing slot machines, embracing these moments of fun and relaxation. These activities brought her joy and became cherished traditions that she shared with those close to her.
