June 26, 1934 – March 10, 2026
June Marie Swenson of Franklin, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on June 26, 1934, in Mena, Arkansas, June's zest for life was evident from an early age. June married John E. Swenson in August of 1951, and together they raised seven children in their Franklin home.
June cherished the many friendships created through her involvement with the American Legion Auxiliary, the Franklin Seniors, and her church, Sts. Peter and Paul Polish National Catholic Church. June enjoyed reading, dancing, ceramics, floral arranging, and most of all a lively game of Sheepshead.
June leaves behind a vibrant legacy through the lives of her loving family. She is survived by her devoted children: John, Michael (Grace), Dale (Cathy), Kathleen, Lawrence (Susan), Therese, and Christopher. Her siblings Phil (Kathy), Anita (Tom), Rebecca, Cheryl (Steve). Her cherished grandchildren include Steven, Patrick, Michael (Eve), Janette (Joseph), Shana, Nicole, Marty, David, Jessica, Jeremy (Karyn), Eric, and Sara, alongside 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, who will forever carry forward her spirit.
Although there is great sorrow in her passing, June is reunited with her beloved husband, John, her sister Dawn, and her sister Sharon, who have welcomed her with open arms.
A visitation to celebrate June's remarkable life will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Mission Hills Chapel in Franklin, WI, on March 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI, following a burial at 2:00 PM.
June's life was a testament to the beauty of family, friendships, and a passion for living fully. Her vibrant spirit will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, joy, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.
