Kathleen E. Felker, 95, Greendale, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the warmth of an Irish heart. Born on October 9, 1930, to the late William and Agnes (Sheehan) Monahan. Kathleen's family was the centerpiece of her world. She is survived by her loving children, Nancy (Jeff) Johnson, Leslie (Jay) Fintak, Teri (Allen) Pagenkopf, Linda Felker, and Patti Felker (Bob Kopczynski), who will cherish her memory alongside her nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her sister, Mary Lou Wehausen, and daughter-in-law, Lori Felker, also hold dear the memories of their time with Kathleen.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Edward, children Dan, Glenn, Steve, and Peggy, grandson Ian, brother William (Bonnie) Monahan, as well as her brother-in-law Oscar Wehausen. Each family member was a unique thread in the rich tapestry of her life.
For 30 years, Kathleen dedicated her professional endeavors to Sears, where she not only excelled in her role but also formed lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike. Her commitment to community was further exemplified through her volunteer work, which touched the lives of many and left an enduring impact on those she served.
Kathleen was an avid reader, she found joy and solace in the pages of books. Her hands were rarely still, as she poured her creativity into the art of quilting. She had a keen interest in historical facts and politics, often engaging in discussions that reflected her intelligence and curiosity. Her pride in her Irish heritage was evident to all who knew her, as she reveled in the festivities of the Irish Fest. Kathleen's love for games, from spirited card matches to strategic rounds of mahjong, brought joy and camaraderie to many gatherings.
Kathleen's later years were graced by the serene beauty of Lake Adelaide in Winchester, where she moved from Greendale. The "million-dollar view" from her home was a constant source of delight and reflection for her, and she often shared this vista with family and friends, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Kathleen E. Felker will be deeply missed, but the light of her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. A funeral will be held at a later date, please check back for updates.
