Kenneth H. Kaja, affectionately known as Ken, passed away on March 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, warmth, and joyful spirit. Born on July 7, 1943, Ken’s life was defined by his steadfast commitment to his family, his work, and his love of laughter. He was a man who brought light and humor into the lives of those around him, remembered fondly as a joker who treasured every moment spent with loved ones.
Ken devoted 48 years of his life as a machinist at Harnischfeger, where his skill and work ethic stood as a testament to his character. Over nearly five decades, he contributed tirelessly to his profession, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond his career, Ken found joy in his family, sporting events, and the great outdoors. These passions enriched his life and created cherished memories for those who shared in his journey. Above all, he prized 62 years of marriage—a remarkable milestone that speaks volumes about his loyalty and love. His wife, Marlene “Mick,” stood by his side through the years, sharing in life’s adventures and challenges.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Marlene; his children Tim (Cindy), David, and Don; and his grandchildren Joe (Miriam), Colleen (Billy), and Karen. His great-grandchildren Alana, Braylee, and Kayson carry forward his legacy of love and laughter. He also leaves behind his sisters Judy and Arlene, who remember him with deep affection. The family mourns the loss of his brother Adrian, who preceded him in death.
A visitation honoring Ken’s life will be held on April 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Oklahoma Chapel, located at 1515 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the same location.
Ken H. Kaja’s memory is one of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and craft. He will be remembered as a good man who lived with joy and loved deeply. His spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew him.
