Kurt R. Schmidt "Keith" Passed-away peacefully Wednesday, January 23, 2013 after a serious but brief illness. Age 60. Preceded in death by father Richard B. Schmidt and mother Jeanette R. Schmidt (nee Witkowski). Survived by many good friends that consider Kurt a special member of their family. Memorial visitation at the funeral home Saturday, February 2, 2013 10:00 am until noon. Memorial service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to LoonWatch (Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute at Northland College, 1411 Ellis Ave., Ashland, WI 54806-9989). Kurt is a 1970 graduate of Don Bosco H.S., attended Marquette University, and worked in fine jewelry and men's clothing sales. Kurt loved the north woods, fishing, and golfing. Kurt enjoyed his aquarium, home decorating, gardening, and working around his condo. He enjoyed music, his favorites were, Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, Aerosmith, and the blues. Max A.
