In Loving Memory of Leanne Janka
August 25, 1970 - April 29, 2026
Leanne Janka, age 55, passed away on April 29, 2026, leaving behind a quiet but meaningful legacy of compassion, resilience, and faith.
Leanne was born on August 25, 1970, and was raised with love by her mother, Shirley Pik, alongside the steady guidance of her grandparents, Eleanore and Joseph Janka. Her life was not always an easy one, but through every chapter, she carried a spirit that refused to harden. Instead, she chose kindness.
She spent much of her life working as a waitress, where her warmth and genuine nature touched the lives of many. Outside of work, Leanne found joy in music- she loved to sing, write poetry, and express herself through creativity. She had in infectious laugh that could fill a room, and a listening ear that made others feel seen, heard, and valued.
Leanne never married, but her life was defined by devotion- especially to her mother, whom she cared for faithfully throughout her adult years. After her mother's passing in September of 2025, Leanne carried that loss quietly, continuing forward with the same strength and grace that defined her life.
She was someone who stood up for the underdog, who cared deeply about those often overlooked, and who led with empathy in a world that doesn't always make space for it. Despite ongoing health challenges, Leanne maintained a positive outlook, giving thanks to God for each new day. Her faith was her anchor, and she found comfort in the promise: "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4).
Now, after years of hardship, Leanne is at peace- free from pain, and resting in the presence of the Lord she so faithfully trusted.
She will be remembered not for the milestones she did or did not reach, but for the love she gave so freely, the laughter she shared so generously, and the quiet strength that carried her through life.
Leanne will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
