Leita J. Smul, affectionately known as "Lee," passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, in Wisconsin at the age of 88. Born on February 8, 1937, in Grand Rapids Michigan. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Eugene of 54 years, her beloved son Gregory and her parents Joyce and William Norris. She is survived by her loving daughters Debbie (Jim), Jackie, Diane, her grandchildren Amanda (Dennis), Rob, and Rachel and her great-grandsons Gregory and Owen. Also survived by her sister Sandy (Wayne) Bergman and her brothers Lance (Inja) Norris, Bill (Nancy) Norris and Tom (Susie) Norris. Further survived by other family and friends
Throughout her lifetime, Lee exemplified kindness and resilience. She cherished her roots and often reminisced about her fond memories growing up in Michigan, where her early years shaped her into the remarkable woman she would become. Lee’s journey through life was marked by her deep commitment to family and friends. She was known for her caring nature and the genuine interest she showed in the lives of others, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. This strong sense of community and connection has left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

As we celebrate Lee's remarkable life, we reflect on the legacy of love she leaves behind. Her grace, strength, and compassion will continue to inspire all who were privileged to know her. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts, enduring as a beacon of light and love.
