He loved fiercely and lived boldly.

Lenny A. Berka, known to many as “Fast Lenny,” passed away on October 7, 2026. He was born on March 11, 1961, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lenny was a man with a personality that most who met him will always remember. He loved to socialize and had a way of becoming the life of the party wherever he went. He had a gift for talking his way out of trouble, and sometimes into it, as his mouth often worked faster than his brain. He lived much of his life with intensity and excess. Whatever he did, he did wholeheartedly, whether it was loving his family, enjoying himself, or finding his way into trouble. That same intensity that sometimes got the better of him was also what made him unforgettable to those who knew him.

He enjoyed old westerns and drawing, but he especially loved telling stories and spending time with the ladies. Whenever someone asked Lenny how he was doing, his familiar response was, 'I'm like Sentry, I never stop trying.' Borrowed from an old Sentry grocery store slogan, it was a saying that became unmistakably his own. Those who knew him will remember his energy, his conversation, and the unforgettable way he carried himself through life. Whether he was making someone laugh, sharing a story, or finding himself in another memorable situation, there was rarely a dull moment when Lenny was around.

Above all, Lenny was proud of his family. His children and grandchildren were his proudest accomplishments, and the family he leaves behind is an important part of his legacy. For a man who rarely did anything halfway, his love for his family was no exception. Lenny left this life just hours after the birth of his first great-grandson, Xavier, a moment that adds a lasting tenderness to his memory. Marking both a goodbye and a new beginning for the generations of this family.

Lenny is survived by his father, Leonard Berka; his daughters, Tracy Feavel, Amanda Gonzalez, and Ashley Berka; his brothers, Lance Berka and Chris Berka; his sisters, Lynn McBride and Lori Cutts; his grandsons, James Feavel, Jason Feavel, Jonathan Feavel, Joseph Feavel, Isaac Gonzalez, and Alex Gonzalez; his granddaughters, Natalia Gonzalez, Summer Brown, and Amira Slavik; and his great-grandson, Xavier Feavel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. Berka.

Lenny will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his endless stories, his quick wit, and the unmistakable energy he brought into a room. He loved fiercely and lived boldly. He wasn't a man who lived quietly or went unnoticed, and those who knew him will surely have a story or two to tell. Though his story has come to an end, the memories, laughter, and stories he leaves behind will live on through the family and friends who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort to his family and to all who knew him.
