Listen to Obituary

Linda “Putzie” Seidler (née Senft) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 30, 2026, at the age of 69.

Linda was the beloved wife of Gary Seidler for nearly 49 years; the devoted mother of Cassy (Eric) Koceja and Amber (Brian) Schimmel; and the cherished "Grammie" of Jill and Owen Koceja and Colton and Grayson Schimmel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vi and Harold Senft, and her brothers, Floyd and Slim Senft. She is further survived by her loved sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, adored nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Linda's greatest passion was caring for children. As the owner of Homestead Daycare for more than 25 years, she touched the lives of countless families with her kindness, patience, and loving heart. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and had a special gift for making others feel loved.

After retiring, Linda and Gary fulfilled their dream of settling on the shores of beautiful Namakagon Lake in Northern Wisconsin. There they embraced the life they loved, spending their days snowmobiling in the winter, boating in the summer, and ending evenings together watching breathtaking sunsets over the lake enjoying a cold "64". It was a place that brought them peace, happiness, and many treasured memories with family and friends.

A talented quilter, Linda lovingly handcrafted beautiful quilts for family and friends, creating treasured keepsakes that will continue to wrap those she loved in her warmth for years to come. She loved nature, wildlife, bird watching, and gardening which brought her great happiness. Above all else, Linda treasured the time she spent with her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and nothing brought her greater joy than being their proud and devoted Grammie.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who cared for Linda throughout her cancer journey. They especially express their sincere gratitude for the kindness, compassion, and exceptional care she received from the Pro Health Care Hospice team.

Visitation will be held at Norway Lutheran Church, 6321 Heg Park Road, Wind Lake, WI 53185, on Friday, August 7, from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
