Lloyd C. Schweitzer, beloved father, grandfather to many, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully at his home in Muskego, Wisconsin, on August 21, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1937, in Wisconsin, where his life began and where he would leave an impressionable mark on all who knew him.

Those who loved Lloyd remember him as a profoundly happy and giving person. Always ready with a helping hand, Lloyd's warmth and generosity touched countless lives. His fondness for children was well known, and it seemed to come naturally to him—so much so, in fact, that everyone affectionately called him "grandpa," a testament to his nurturing spirit and approachable kindness.

Through the years, Lloyd built an accomplished career, working as a maintenance man at the bank for many years. His dedication and work ethic were admired by colleagues and acquaintances alike. Before his career at the bank, Lloyd drove an oil truck, displaying the same sense of responsibility and reliability that characterized his professional and personal life.

Lloyd found joy in the simple pleasures that Wisconsin had to offer. He was an avid player of cribbage and other card games, and he enjoyed the camaraderie that came with a friendly game of horseshoes. Traveling and taking in the breathtaking beauty of Wisconsin's fall colors were among his favorite pastimes. His creativity and skill were evident in his woodcrafts and passion for refurbishing old items, always striving to make them beautiful again. Lloyd also enjoyed working on cars and driving tractors, hobbies that reflected both his practical abilities and his appreciation for craftsmanship.

Above all, Lloyd's legacy is carried on by his family. He is survived by his sons Greg (Kris) Schweitzer, Joe (Mary) Schweitzer and Todd (Sue) Schweitzer, who will forever cherish his memory and carry forward his loving example. Lloyd is preceded in death by his son, Jeff Schweitzer, whose memory he held dear. He was the proud grandpa of Jamie, Jason, Bobbi, Kyle, Dan and Stone. Great grandpa to 13 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on September 3, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Mission Hills Chapel, located at 8910 W. Drexel Avenue, Franklin, WI 53132. A funeral service will follow at the same location beginning at 5:30 PM.
