Lucia M. Modrzyk

Modrzyk, Lucia M. (Nee Marconi) Age 77, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Walter Modrzyk. Loving mother of Mary (Raymond) Postotnik and Anna (Charles) Batson. Devoted and loving grandmother extraordinaire (and biggest fan) of Katie and Robert Postotnik and Alexa Batson. Dear sister to Rose (the late Leonard) Hoffman, Connie (Terry) Liska, Angie (Connie) Thill. Josephine (the late Kenneth) Dzievit, Marie Schultz, Michael Marconi , and Tina Koelsch and Sister-in-law to Theresa, Josephine and Colleen Marconi. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Dominic, Louis and Anthony Marconi. Lucia's greatest love was her family and she was a stay-at-home mom while lovingly raising her daughters. She was an excellent baker; she also loved to play BINGO and crochet and enjoyed playing Scrabble and Canasta. After her children were grown, Lucia wrote a new chapter in her life and attained her driver's license at the age of fifty-nine. As a senior, Lucia also embarked on a new career as a waitress, and made many friends during her years at Holiday Inn and George Webbs. Lucia's quick wit and vibrant personality will be greatly missed. The family sends special thanks to Dr. Martin Muntz, her longtime physician and close friend. Visitation will be in the Funeral Home on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM with a vigil service to be held at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at ST. ALPHONSUS CATHOLIC CHURCH (6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale), please meet at church. Final rest will be in Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin.
