Margaret Mary Winifred Goodrich

Margaret Mary Winifred Goodrich (née Hallett) passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, in Greenfield, Wisconsin, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on October 20, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Margaret’s nearly ninety years were filled with love, grace, and the steadfast embrace of family.

Margaret’s journey began in Milwaukee, where she was welcomed into the world by her parents, Harry and Matilda Hallett. From her earliest days, Margaret’s warmth and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She developed lifelong bonds with her sister Jean and her siblings, fond memories carried close to her heart throughout the years.

She met and married Frederick Goodrich, with whom she shared many precious chapters of life. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, tradition, and enduring support. 

Margaret’s role as a mother was at the very core of her identity. She lovingly raised her children—her son Matthew and daughter Dora, who survive her, and her beloved son Terrence (Christine), now dearly missed and remembered. Her devotion was unwavering, and she imparted to her children the values of kindness, perseverance, and compassion. 

Margaret carries forward the cherished memories of those who predeceased her: her loving husband Frederick, her dear son Terrence, her father Harry, her mother Matilda Hallett and her siblings. 

Her spirit also remains vivid in the lives of her surviving family: her son Matthew Goodrich, her daughter Dora, and her sister Jean. Grandma of Amanda and great grandma of Zachary, Joshua Letty and Mia. She is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Those wishing to pay their respects are warmly invited to join in remembrance at St. Alphonsus Parish, 6060 West Loomis Road, Greendale, WI 53129, on Tuesday, July 22, 2026. Visitation begins at 9:30 am and continues until 10:45 am, followed by a Mass at 11:00 am. Afterward, Margaret will be laid to rest at St Louis Catholic Church Cemetery, 13207 County Rd G, Caledonia, WI 53108, at 12:45 pm.

Margaret Mary Winifred Goodrich’s legacy is reflected in the lives she touched—with every warm smile, thoughtful word, and caring gesture. Though she will be deeply missed, her gentle light will continue to guide those who loved her, carrying her memory forward with tenderness and gratitude.
