Margaret A. Wertz (nee Schultz), passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 11, 2026 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late John E. Wertz. Loving mother of Patricia Nelson and Anne (Troy) Poppe. Cherished grandmother of J.B. (Katie) Nelson, Adam Nelson (Katharine Perella), Elizabeth (Michael) Watkinson, Rebecca Poppe, John Poppe, and Rex Poppe. Great-grandmother of Gabe and Eli Nelson, Atwood Nelson Perella, and William, Virginia, and Bennett Watkinson.

Visitation will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Greenridge Chapel located at 4747 S. 60th St., Greenfield, on Thursday, July 23 starting at 9AM with the funeral service to begin at 11AM. Burial to follow at Wood National Cemetery.
