Marian Carol
Kujawa
June 15, 1937 – May 2, 2026
Marian Kujawa (nee Stankowski) of Franklin passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 2, 2026 at the age of 88.
Marian was born in Cudahy to Stanley and Helen (nee Fedor) Stankowski. She graduated from Cudahy High School in 1955 and enrolled in Mount Sinai Nursing School where she received her RN Degree. She started her 4 decade nursing career at Trinity Memorial Hospital in Cudahy in Obstetrics and ended it at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee.
In 1959 she married Edwin Adam Kujawa at Holy Family Church and together they had 3 children who they loved very much.
Marian was an amazing lady who loved her career and taking care of her family. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting and gardening. She was a voracious reader who made trips to Barnes and Noble and the library weekly. She made all of us dozens of afghans and hundreds of crocheted dishcloths and we cherish them all. She had a garden and she made sure to plant the vegetables that all of us liked. She would drive over to family on random days delivering vegetables that she picked that day.
Marian is survived and loved by her daughter Robin (Bradley) Peters, Edwin (Nicole) and Kathy (David) Halverson. Marian was the beloved Nanda/Nonnie of Brian (Melissa) Peters, Melisa (Thomas) Cash, Jeffrey (Erin) Peters, David (Christine) Peters and Dan and Elleanna Kujawa. Loving great-grandmother of Kensington, McKinley, Leilani & Brady Peters, Jason, Adam, Preston, Ryan & Kaylee Cash, Landon & Carter Peters, and Hailey, Matthew & Brooklyn Peters. Marian took great joy in watching all the kids growing up. She also had many dogs, granddogs and grandcats that she loved and adored.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Edwin in 1991, her parents Stanley and Helen Stankowski, her sisters Alice Spies, Marie Stankowski and Irene Waszak, and her parent-in-laws Adam and Marjorie Kujawa and sisters-in-law Joyce Kujawa and Jeane Kling.
We will be holding a Celebration of Life for our mom in Autumn, which was her favorite season. More information will be available on this site at the end of summer and we will also put a notice in the newspaper.
Marian wished to be cremated and she will be interred with her husband at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cudahy.
