Marilyn Mae Hamaker (nee Simonsen) - age 90 passed away at her home in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 10, 2025. Marilyn's life was one deeply rooted in faith, love, and dedication to her family and community.
A devoted homemaker, she dedicated her life to nurturing her family, and her love was evident to all who knew her. Marilyn was a woman of faith, actively involved in the church, contributing to her community and touching the lives of many with her kindness and spiritual commitment.
Marilyn was especially grateful for the caregivers who allowed her to remain in her cherished home, a testament to her appreciation for the support that surrounded her.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Forestine Rose, David (Jean) Hamaker, Bill (Linda Grace) Hamaker, Janet (John) Paradowski, and Kevin Hamaker. Marilyn was a cherished grandmother to Jackie (Joe) Herman, Kelly Hamaker, Taylor Schlicke, and Hannah Schlicke, who will carry forward her legacy of love. She is further survived by her sister in law Kathy Simonsen, many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who will deeply miss her warm presence.
Marilyn's journey through life is also marked by the love of those she has lost. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Meronk and Roy Hamaker, her children, William and Mary, and her grandson, Kyle. Additionally, she joins in eternal rest with her siblings, Jim (Beverly), Kenneth, Robert (Patricia), and Carol.
Visitation services will be held on November 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation South Shore Chapel located at 1314 Manitoba Ave, South Milwaukee, WI. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 PM, concluding with burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park on November 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM (meet in the red parking area).
