Marlene M. Wiseman

Marlene Mary (nee Heilman) Wiseman, age 87, passed away peacefully after a life defined by remarkable strength, an outgoing spirit, and deep devotion to her family. Born in Norwalk, Wisconsin, Marlene grew up in a small rural community where she met the love of her life, Tom Wiseman, during high school. Tom was from nearby Wilton, and their early connection became the foundation of a lifelong partnership.

After graduating, Marlene embraced her independence and set off to explore Milwaukee, living at St. Catherine's near downtown-a residence run by Sisters of Mercy that offered young women moving to the city a safe and supportive start.

She attended secretary school and began her career in the insurance industry, quickly earning a reputation for professionalism, warmth, and her natural ability to connect with people. Milwaukee also reunited her with Tom, and they married in November 1960, beginning a marriage filled with love, laughter, and shared adventure.

Marlene's greatest quality was her strength-expressed through her energy, confidence, and her love of people. She was never quiet; she thrived in conversation, made friends effortlessly, and brought life to every room she entered. She always looked forward to the future, believing that each new chapter held something good. Her optimism and social nature shaped her life and inspired everyone around her.

In 2005, Marlene and Tom began a new chapter in The Villages, Florida, where she flourished in a lively, social community that matched her vibrant personality. In 2025, Marlene returned to Wisconsin to be closer to family, spending her final year at Tudor Oaks Senior Living Community in Muskego, where she once again found comfort, friendship, and joy in a community that felt just right for her.

Marlene will be remembered for her welcoming smile, her love of people, her boundless energy, and her deep belief in looking ahead with hope.

She is survived by her daughter Susan (Mike) Hauke, grandchildren—Matthew (Sophia) Hauкe and Anna (Alex) Schwartz, great-granddaughter Brooklyn Schwartz, sister-in-law Sylvia Heilman, nieces, nephews other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Wiseman, Daughter Terri Joan, parents AImand and Freida Heilman, Siblings Joseph, Darrell, Barbara (Thomas) Likely, and Eugene (Linda) Heilman.

A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at St Leonard Catholic Church, W173S7743 Westwood Dr, Muskego, WI 53150 with a public visitation and remembrance from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM and Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. She will be laid to rest next to Tom in a private service at St. Adalbert Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Marlene's name to Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC Fund) -This organization helped her and Tom when their oldest daughter, Terri Joan, died of childhood cancer in 1969.
