Mary Alice Fischer

Mary Alice (Tobey) Fischer (born December 8, 1930) Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday December 27, 2025 at the age of 95. 

Beloved wife and best friend of the late Hugh Fischer married on April 16, 1955. Mother of Sharon (John) Kropidlowski, Timothy (Mary) Fischer, Curtis (Patty) Fischer, Gregory (Mary) Fischer, Michael (Nancy) Fischer, Glen (Julie) Fischer and Katherine (Scott) Pehowski. Also loved by 24 grandchildren Matthew, Pamela, Mark, David, Amanda, Nick, Kristi, Ann, Janet, Brian, Mike, Chelsie, Michelle, Ryan, Andrea, Jacob, Tim, Tyler, Noah, Marisa, Julie, Kelly, Hugh and Serina. 34 great-grandchildren Shawn, Kahlen, Scarlett, Lillian, Natia, Kaia, Emma, Tobey, Jack, Elijah, Tyson, Maci, Margery, Judah, Rylee, Skylar, Owen, Dalton, Paisley, Arthur, Gwen, Robert, Meredith, Hallie, Mae, Chase, Linus, Lewis, Travis, Blake, Bailey and Emmett. Preceded in death by son-in law John, granddaughter Pam, her brother Wayland and her parents Wayland and Lenice Tobey, and many other relatives and friends. 

She loved eating sweets and donuts, reading Harlequin Intrigue books and many other books, watching and listening to sports, sitting on the front porch watching the neighborhood and taking in the heat from the sun. She loved going to her family farm in Loganville, WI for many years, spending time with family and friends, and watching the birds and having little beers. She enjoyed many trips to the casinos with her love Hugh, and then with the Stinger’s bus trip. She lived a full life and will be missed and loved by all. We were very blessed to have her in our lives for a long time. 

Visitation at Our Lady Queen of Peace church, 3222 S. 29th Street, Thursday, January 8, 2026, 9:30-10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Private burial at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
