Mary Wood Bansemar

Bansemar, Mary Wood (nee Gilomen) Passed away after a courageous 9 year battle with ALS at the age of 58. Beloved Wife and life's companion to Mike for 40 years. Devoted Mom of Shawn (Melissa) and Eric. Proud Nana of Alana, Nolan and Harrison. Now reunited with her mother Nancy. Cousin and Best Girl Friend of Laurie 'SIS' Auntie of Judy, Tricia and Jennifer Sister-in-law of Pat and Joe, Barb Furthered survived by many loving friends and family. Her motto in life was live well, laugh often and love much while choosing the road not taken. A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday February 15, 2014 from 11am-1pm with a service of remembrance at 1 pm at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel. Mary graduated with high honors from the UWM School of Nursing. She was a public health nurse for the North Shore Health Department for 10 years. Her involvement with the ALS Association Wisconsin Chapter served as a role model to staff and patients. A proud member of the United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Brian Trinastic Memorial Grant Program (ALS Association Wisconsin Chapter) and/or Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health (UWM Milwaukee) is greatly appreciated.
