Melissa "EE" Everson

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Melissa “EE” Everson, on June 16, 2026.

Melissa was born in Milwaukee on September 21, 1973. She was diagnosed at the age of 22 months with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and then at the age of 43 with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. Melissa was a kind, nature loving, free spirit. She was an arthritis warrior and a PH fighter who fiercely loved her family and friends. She was a true survivor and fought hard for so many years but always appreciated the many blessings her short life brought to her.

Melissa is survived by her wonderful parents Robert, Christine and her Step-dad Hondo; her siblings Michael (Nicole), Christy, Nickolas (Amber), and April; her nephews Tyler and Diego; her nieces Olivia, Geneva, Brandi, Selena, Julie, and Brittany; her Aunt Pat and Uncle Joe and cousins Laura and Jenny; her Auntie Carol, her dear friends Sally and Jenne, and other friends and family.

Melissa was preceded in death by her Grandparents Esther and Herman and Margaret and Earl; her dearest friends Rob and Brenda; and other relatives.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to her care team on 10T and the CICU at Aurora St. Luke’s along with the amazing care team at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, Melissa and her family kindly encourage you to donate in her name to the Arthritis Foundation, to the PH Association, or to Zilber Family Hospice.

A memorial gathering will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Oklahoma Chapel, located at 1515 W. Oklahoma Ave in Milwaukee on Friday, July 10th. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 followed by a memorial service at 7:00.
