Michael Alan Blank, a cherished husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Franklin, Wisconsin, at the age of 68. Born on April 17, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to parents Lyle and Gloria Blank, who preceded him in death, Michael's early years were filled with a loving family. A graduate of Marshall High School in 1975, Michael's passion for culinary arts and his dedication to his craft led him to a fulfilling career as a chef, delighting the taste buds of many at various esteemed restaurants.

Michael's journey through life was one marked by love, dedication, and a remarkable talent for creating comfort, both through his cooking and his presence. He thrived in his role at the Texas Roadhouse, where he continued to work until his passing. His culinary journey also included memorable stints at the Village Inn, Big Boy, and the Rusty Skillet, where he left a legacy of delicious meals and warm hospitality.

In 1993, Michael found his soulmate in Wanda, and together they embarked on a life filled with joy, laughter, and mutual support. Their union brought together a blended family that included his stepdaughters, Kristen Kuyper and Heather (Matthew) Helwer, and his adored granddaughter, Emma Helwer. Michael's love extended to his brother, David Blank, his Aunts, Barb Geitz and Lola Krebsbach, as well as his cousins, all of whom will miss his gentle spirit dearly.

Michael was a man of many interests and talents. A sports fan, he spent countless hours watching his favorite teams. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to his garden. Above all, Michael’s greatest joy was Monday dinners and spending time with his granddaughter Emma.

Described by those who knew him as handy, analytical, and gentle, Michael could fix almost anything and often lent his skills to help others. His analytical mind made him a problem-solver, a trait that served him well both in his professional and personal life.

Michael's memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories, laughter, and love he shared with all of us.
