Nathan Anthony Kreiter, known affectionately as Nate to his friends and family, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on May 10, 2025, at the age of 41. Nate's life was characterized by his contagious laughter, warmth, and the ability to make friends with anyone he met. He was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, and loyal brother, whose presence brightened the lives of all who knew him.
Born on March 12, 1984, Nate grew up in a close-knit family, surrounded by the love and support of his parents, Tony and Chris Kreiter, and his grandparents, John and Anna Kreiter. He shared a special bond with his brothers, Eric (Joni) Kreiter and Kyle (Emily) Kreiter, and he was a proud uncle to Ellie, Alanna, and Liam. Nate's family circle was further enriched by his marriage to his beloved wife, Cathy, with whom he shared 14 wonderful years, and their two daughters, Aubrey and Kara, who were the light of his life.
Nate's academic journey saw him graduate from Franklin High School in 2002, after which he pursued higher education at Marquette University, earning a bachelor's degree in communications. His professional life was marked by a successful career as a Product Specialist at Krones Inc., where he worked for nearly a decade. Nate's colleagues remember him as a man who brought not only expertise but also joy and humor to the workplace.
Throughout his life, Nate was a man of varied interests. He was an avid fan of movies, especially Marvel movies, finding great enjoyment in the escapism and excitement they provided. Baseball was a lifelong passion; he loved watching the Brewers and playing in a variety of leagues. Nate was also a beer enthusiast, always ready to explore new brews and share them with loved ones.
A skilled marksman, Nate found target shooting to be a rewarding and focusing hobby. Despite his many interests, he was happiest at home, a true homebody who relished the simple pleasure of spending time with his family. His home was a sanctuary of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Nate's social circle included a special place for his buddies, with whom he shared countless hours of fun and camaraderie. His laughter was infectious, and his presence could light up a room. Nate had a unique talent for connecting with people, making them feel seen and heard, and he will be remembered for his friendly nature and his innate ability to spread joy.
In addition to his immediate family, Nate leaves behind his sister-in-law, Melissa (Carlos) Fuentes, brother-in-law, Paul (Kathryn) Graffenius, and his parents-in-law, Michael Graffenius and Nancy Graffenius, all of whom he held dear.
Nate's life was a testament to the virtues of love, humor, and friendship. He was the embodiment of a loving, funny, and friendly spirit, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him. As we bid farewell to Nathan Anthony Kreiter, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a life filled with laughter, love, and an abundance of cherished moments.
