Norbert C. Kontowicz

Kontowicz, Norbert C. Age 91, passed away peacefully at Brookfield Rehab on March 12, 2014. Loving father of Steven (Vicky) Kontowicz and Mary (Tom) Kavanagh and dear grandfather of Julia Kavanagh. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dolores. Norb was a graduate of Pulaski high school and Marquette University School of Journalism. As a member of the Army Air Corps stationed in Washington DC during World War II, he was part of a select unit in charge of Air Force One and breaking enemy codes. He began his career as a reporter in Two Rivers Wisconsin, and eventually joined the Milwaukee Sentinel where he spent 30 years, retiring as the Feature Editor. Visitation for Norbert will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and at St. Leonard Catholic Parish, W173 S7743 Westwood Drive, on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Private entombment will take place in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
