Pamela Carrie Hansen, known affectionately to all as Pam, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on March 21, 1947, Pam's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and joy that touched everyone she knew.
Pam was the beloved wife of the late Donald Hansen. She was a cherished sister to Peggy (Larry) Kallay, and a guiding force in the lives of her niece and nephews, Mary Lynn Murphy, Steven (Connie) Murphy, Dan (Cindy) Hansen, Katherine (Darin) Haugom, the late Michael Hansen, Larry (Angela) Kallay, Ricky Kallay, Andy (Jennifer) Kallay as well as her great-nephews and great-niece Morgan Murphy, Shane Murphy, Noah Hansen, Anna Hansen, Aiden Haugom, Evan Haugom, Kaia Haugom, Joey Kallay, Johnny Kallay, Ellie Kallay, and Isac Kallay. Pam's family was her pride and joy, and she took every opportunity to show her love and support, especially through her presence at their sporting events, where her cheers were both enthusiastic and heartwarming.
A graduate of South Division High School in 1965, Pam's thirst for knowledge and her commitment to excellence were evident early on. Her work ethic shone brightly throughout her career, beginning with 17 years at Elis Chambers, where her dedication and hard work left a lasting impression. After the company closed, she joined WI Electric, where she continued to showcase her talents and commitment for 30 years until her well-deserved retirement.
Pam's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She found solace in the quiet moments spent with a good book, and joy in the company of friends over a lively game of mahjong. Fishing was more than a hobby for Pam; it was a chance to commune with nature and revel in the simplicity of life. Her love for sports was not just as a spectator; she found genuine delight in watching her nephews and great-nephews, and her great-niece play, always offering words of encouragement and praise.
Loving, thoughtful, and friendly are but a few words that encapsulate the essence of Pam. Her warmth radiated to all corners of her life, from her tender interactions with family and friends to the kindness she extended to strangers. Those who knew Pam understood that her friendly demeanor was not just a trait but a way of life that uplifted everyone around her.
Pam's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the gentle strength that she embodied. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the memories she created will forever be cherished and celebrated. As we bid farewell to Pamela Carrie Hansen, we hold tight to the knowledge that her spirit will continue to inspire us to live with the same compassion and zest for life that she did.
Pam will be dearly missed by her sister, Peggy (Larry) Kallay; her nephews, Steve (Connie) Murphy, Larry (Angela) Kallay, Ricky Kallay, and Andy (Jennifer) Kallay; and her adored nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Her light, love, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Viewing for Pam will take place at Max A Sass - South Shore Chapel, 1314 Manitoba Ave. South Milwaukee, WI 53172 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
