                                                                                                   Patricia (Paraskevi / Παρασκευή) Pitta

                                                                                                     September 27th,1930 – April 22nd, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Patricia (Paraskevi) Pitta, age 95, of Deerfield Beach, Florida (formerly of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin). She passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Affectionately known as “Yia-yia,” Paraskevi came from humble beginnings. She was born during World War II in the foothills of Greece, in the small village of Krokova, near Aigio, fondly referred to as “the Horio” just outside Athens..

Paraskevi was devoted to her family above all else. She was a loving wife to her first husband, John Pitta (d. 1984), and later to George Draelos (d. 2017).

She is survived by her brother, Peter Chronis (Anthoula Chronis), Christo Chronis, Dina Chronis, Marianna Chronis and her children: Dino Pitta; Maria Ellis (the late Robert Ellis); and Tina Rossi (Anthony Pieroni). She was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Lisa Haidemenos and Laura Pizzi.

Paraskevi also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Lesley (Sergei) Moschkov, Dina Pitta, Christina Haidemenos, Alexia Haidemenos, Lawrence Green, John (Blake) Ellis, Lily Ellis, Sophia Rossi, Athena Rossi, Jade Pitta, and Isabella Pitta; as well as her great-grandchildren, Laura Moschkov and Sophia Moschkov.

A service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, May 9 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 9400 West Congress Street, Milwaukee, WI. The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Fr. Ciprian Sas, followed by a graveside Trisagion at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI.
