Paul D. Benson

Paul Benson, a man of unwavering integrity and gentle spirit, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in Franklin, Wisconsin, at the age of 68. Born on March 25, 1957, in Osage, Iowa, Paul was a beacon of kindness and selflessness throughout his life.

Paul dedicated over 40 years of his life to a distinguished career as a truck driver for a heat-treating firm, where his hardworking nature and commitment to his work were evident to all who knew him. He was not only respected for his work ethic but also for the honesty and even temper he brought to every interaction, both personally and professionally.

On October 4, 1986, Paul married the love of his life, Barbara Denk, in a ceremony at Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary in Franklin, Wisconsin. Their marriage was a testament to true partnership and mutual respect, and together they raised a son, Luke Benson, adding joy to Paul's life.

Paul's love for animals mirrored the kindness he showed to people. His gentle approach to life was evident in the way he cared for them, and his home was often filled with the warmth and comfort that only his beloved pets can bring. He was a wonderful father and husband, whose presence was a steady and loving force in the lives of his family. Paul's character was marked by a rare combination of sweetness and strength, making him a true pillar in the lives of those he loved.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Barbara, and their son, Luke Benson (Haley Stockinger), who will carry on his legacy of kindness. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Edith (Scrabeck) Benson, and his siblings, Charles Benson, James Benson, Nancy Benson, and Diane Benson, who have welcomed him with open arms.

Paul Benson's life was a testament to the values of honesty, true kindness, and unwavering dedication to family. Private services will be held.
