Peter R. Lewna, born on February 10, 1950 in Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His life of 76 years was marked by a legacy of kindness, steadfast values, and the deep connections he formed with those closest to him.
A beloved husband, Peter is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Ann Lewna, whose companionship and partnership enriched every chapter of their shared journey. He was cherished as a father by his son, Justin Lewna, and welcomed Mandy as a loving daughter-in-law into the family. Peter found immense pride and joy in his grandchildren, Maellie and Kyla, who brought him boundless happiness and for whom he modeled integrity, generosity, and warmth.
Peter’s roots trace back to a family that instilled in him a strong sense of character. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman, and his mother, Betty Mae.
Throughout his years, Peter embraced all roles presented to him—whether as a husband, father, grandfather, or friend—with genuine care and dedication. Those who knew him appreciated his wisdom, sincerity, and gentle nature.
To honor Peter’s memory, a Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at the Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Greenridge Chapel, 4747 S. 60th Street, Greenfield, WI 53220.
Peter R. Lewna’s life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and steadfast principles. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched, and his memory will be cherished always.
