Raymond L. Petraytes

Raymond L. Petraytes Born October 24, 1925 and died September 17, 2021 at age 95. Survived by his sister, Joan (Darryl) Hanson. Preceded in death by parents Leo and Lillian (nee Ebertowski) Petraytes, and infant brother, Erwin. Numerous other relatives and friends. Ray graduated from Pio Nono High School. Served in the US Navy, from 1943-1946, aboard an LCS in The Battle of Okinawa. Attended Marquette University for 3 years. Retired from Eaton Corp (fna Cutler-Hammer). Ray enjoyed the frequent sharing of meals and visits with family, time spent with friends and neighbors, card games, polka dancing, golf, bowling, and long walks. Ray was well-liked, he was a nice guy. A Memorial Gathering will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (8500 W. Cold Spring Rd., Greenfield) on Saturday, October 9 from10:30-11:00AM. Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Private burial at Southern Wisconsin Veteran Memorial Cemetery.
