Richard Clarence Kaluzny, known affectionately as Rick, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, in West Allis, Wisconsin, at the age of 86. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 27, 1939, Rick lived a life full of dedication, love, and service, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by many.
Rick had a distinguished career as an Industrial Process Engineer with Nordberg. His professional life was complemented by his devotion to his family and his community. Proudly serving in the United States Army, he exemplified a commitment to his country that he carried throughout his life.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rick found joy in many hobbies and interests. He was an enthusiastic coin collector and took great pleasure in practicing Tai Chi. His passion for sports extended into coaching, where he dedicated time to instructing young athletes in football, baseball and basketball. Additionally, Rick was a beautiful singer, contributing his voice to the Resurrection Choir at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he was a proud member of the faith community.
Rick was the loving dad of Karen (Ernie) Streim, Beth (Mark) Kaminski, Rich (Sheri) Kaluzny, and Diane (Roger) Weiss. He was a devoted grandpa to Matt (Nicole) Streim, Andy (Andrea) Streim, Jake (Meggan) Streim, Elizabeth (Matt) Van Zeeland, Chris (Esther Sanchez-Alejo) Kaminski, Hannah (Zach Ziebol) Kaminski, Rachel Kaluzny, Aaron Kaluzny, Rhiannon (Jacob) Tower, Teresa Weiss, Augustin Weiss, and Quentin Weiss. His love extended even further to his role as a great grandpa, where he found immeasurable joy in Addie, Emma, Soffia Streim, and Damien and Dean Tower.
Rick was preceded in death by his beloved wife Judy, whose memory he carried close in his heart. He is further survived by many other family members, friends, and his cherished four-legged companion, Yankee. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Synergy Home Care, particularly Quinn and Sally, for the compassionate care and support they provided to Rick during his time of need.
Private services were held with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Dementia Society of America.
Rick Kaluzny's spirit and warmth will be profoundly missed, but his legacy of love, service, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
