Rita M Amidzich

Amidzich, Rita M. (Nee St. Clair) Passed away peacefully after a ten year battle with Parkinson's disease on January 16, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence "Boobie" Amidzich. Loving mother of Mark (the late Kathleen), Gail (Louis) Barbash, Scott Amidzich and Jennifer (Joseph) Welch. Dear grandma of Chris (Kim), Amy (Paul), Melissa (Corey), Nick, Philip, Michelle, Kacey and Sam. Great grandma of Abby, Lizzie, Emily, Marissa and Camden. Preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Rita was a graduate of Holy Angels Academy and Marquette University. Mom remained strong and her spirits high, despite the onset and progression of her disease. She continued to enjoy her family, friends, good food, and making sure she/we knew where her lipstick was at all times. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Judy Lang for her tender loving care and attention. A special thanks to Eileen Timm, Rita's hairdresser of nearly 50 years, and also Rosemarie, Pam and the entire staff at Milwaukee Catholic Home for their kind and compassionate care given to Rita. A visitation will be held at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel, Greenfield, WI on Monday January 20, 2014 from 4-7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM. A further visitation will be held at ST. FLORIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (1210 S. 45th Street) on Tuesday from 10:15 - 10:45 AM with the funeral mass to begin at 11 AM. Interment Arlington Park Cemetery.
