Robert "Bob" Soderstrom

Robert “Bob” Soderstrom, age 86, entered eternal life on April 4, 2026. Born August 29, 1939. Preceded in death by his loving wife JoAnn Soderstrom (nee Fenske), parents Ernest and Martha Soderstrom, and three siblings. Loving dad to Jim (Tina) Budzinski, Lisa (Jim) Stark, Jill (Dan) Sheridan, and Susan (Adam) Mildren. Grandpa of Sydney, Ainsley, Eric, Zach, Charlie, Lila, and Phoebe.

Bob embraced each day with optimism, greeting life with a hopeful spirit and an open heart. He was loving, kind, and immensely proud of his family. He was always searching for ways to make things better. Whether through simple suggestions or grandiose ideas, he was never afraid to share what was on his mind. He loved sharing stories, offering advice, and getting to know those around him. His keen observations and witty comments left a lasting impression on people.

He lived with sincerity and compassion, never hesitating to help when someone was in need. He was an incredibly hard worker who believed in a job well done, which can be confirmed by all those who had the opportunity to work alongside him at the White Hen, Wolf’s Cleaners, Sod-ee’s Service, or in the backyard.

From spending time in Land O’Lakes, hunting in Tomah, driving through Whitnall Park with a cup of coffee or relaxing in the backyard with a beer in hand, he always found joy and peace in being outdoors.

His gentle soul touched so many lives and will be forever missed.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Stephen the Martyr Lutheran Church (6101 S. 51st St., Greendale) on Friday, April 24. Visitation from 2:30-4:30 PM with service to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Hank Aaron State Trail, a Wisconsin county park, or a charity of your choosing.
