Roberta D. Paetow

The world lost a great human being with the passing of Roberta Paetow on May 19, 2025 at the age of 79. Roberta was a compassionate, kind, loyal and relatable person whose life touched many people.

Born in Milwaukee on September 18, 1945, the daughter of Alvin and Sally Paetow. Roberta was a 1964 graduate of Shorewood High School. She began her career journey while working full time, taking care of her elderly parents, and attending night classes at UWM for 13 years. She attained her CPA license and was then employed at Odyssey Travel for eight years. She began her own accounting and tax business in 1989 until her retirement in 2020. 

Roberta was a great listener, and her devotion to her clients formed long lasting relationships. Roberta loved animals both wild and domestic. She cared for several cats during her lifetime and loved to see the big cats at the Milwaukee Zoo.

Roberta is survived by her brother Walter Paetow; cousins Judy Paetow, Carol Barth and Robert Barth; and lifelong friend Pamela Altendorf. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Sally (Silverstone) Paetow.
