Ronald A. Janick, known to many as Ron, passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born on February 3, 1945, and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a steady willingness to help others. Ron was the son of George and Henrietta (Ulatowski) Janick and was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald.

Ron graduated from Boys Tech and went on to build a long and respected career as a Machinist with General Electric, where he eventually retired. He took great pride in his work and was known for being dependable, skilled, and capable of finding a solution to nearly any problem. Those who knew him often called him handy, thoughtful, and selfless.

On May 1, 1971, Ron married Patricia Fritz at St. Clare Church in Wind Lake, beginning a lifelong partnership that was central to his happiness. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, his children Dan and Jamie (Jerry), his grandson, Nolan, who brought him great pride and joy. Ron is further survived by his sister-in-law, Linda, his nephew, Jason, and other relatives and friends.

Ron enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life meaningful to him. He loved collecting model cars and attending car shows, where his enthusiasm for craftsmanship and classic style was easy to see. He was especially proud of his 1972 Chevy Nova, a car that reflected both his appreciation for fine machines and his lifelong interest in things built to last. He was also known as a true Mr. Fix It, always ready to repair, improve, or lend a hand wherever needed. If something needed attention, Ron was often the first to notice and the first to step in. His willingness to help extended beyond his own family and home. Ron volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, giving his time and effort to help others build better lives.
