Sandra Kay Nelson “Sandy” (nee Wick) was reunited with her beloved husband, Gerald “Jerry” Nelson on May 9th, 2026 at the age of 80. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Denise (August) Christnovich, Debra Peronto-Serdynski, and Julie (Jeff) Hendryx; and her stepchildren, Lori (Jim) Brinza, Richard (Dawn) Nelson, and Geralynn (Ian Nelson-Steyn). Sandra was a cherished grandmother to Samantha, Cheyenne, Mandy, Rhonda, Colton, and Wyatt; and step-grandmother to Andy, Elliot, Nicholas, Olivia, Nathan, Autumn, and Amber. She was also a proud great and great-great grandmother. Dear sister of Mark Wick and the late Jeff Wick and is further survived by nieces, nephews, other extended relatives, and friends.
Sandy enjoyed watching birds and spending time in her garden and traveling with Jerry. Above all, she loved spending time with family and friends and was a true social butterfly. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.
A memorial gathering will be held at Max A Sass & Sons-Mission Hills Chapel (8910 W. Drexel Ave., Franklin) on Wednesday, June 3rd starting at 10AM until the time of memorial service at 12PM. Private family inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI
