Sharon Rae Luce, born on January 23, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home in Kensosha, Wisconsin, on July 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Her remarkable life was characterized by her dedication to her passions and her unwavering commitment to her family and community.

Sharon made history as the first woman referee in the State of Illinois, breaking boundaries in the world of sports. She also captivated audiences for many years as a professional wrestler, a vibrant career that introduced her to her husband, Robert A. Luce Sr. Beyond her sports endeavors, she served diligently as an office administrator for North Northfield United Methodist Church, contributing her skills and warmth to the church community.

An alumnus of Pulaski High School, Sharon embraced life to its fullest. She derived great joy from spending time outdoors and enjoyed traveling, with memorable trips to Palm Island remaining dear to her heart.

Sharon is lovingly survived by her children, Robin (Mark), Dawn, Robert Jr., and Daniel. She shares the legacy of her life with her siblings, Larry Laschen, Terry Laschen, Sally Phelps, and Judy Stanek.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert A. Luce Sr., her parents Louis and Ruth Laschen, as well as her siblings, Darrell Laschen and Kathy Laschen.

In celebration of Sharon’s life, memorial gatherings will be held on July 24, 2025, at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Greenridge Chapel located at 4747 S. 60th Street, Greenfield, WI. The gathering will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM. Burial to follow at Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to American Heart Association.

Sharon Rae Luce will be fondly remembered for her pioneering spirit, sense of adventure and for her love and devotion to family. Her legacy will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
