Sharon Anne Wenzel, born on September 20, 1935, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, peacefully passed away at home on June 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family including her constant companions Shadow and Tali. Her passing has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Sharon dedicated her life to her family, providing unwavering support and love. She is survived by her children Bryan, Blaine (Cathy), Anita (Jerry), and Adam (Sheri). Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren Cody (Michael), Sam, Hunter (Madyson), Elleanor, Tommy, Jacob, and Leyna, as well as her great-grandchildren Ryder and Grayland. Sharon is also survived by relatives Victor (Angela), Howard, Sue (Jim), Jenni (Mike), and their families, along with her "Aunt" Connie, who was more like a sister to her for more than 89 years.
Sharon had a passion for creating a beautiful outdoor space and spent countless hours tending to her park-like yard, finding joy and fulfillment in nurturing the plants and flowers that surrounded her. She enjoyed sharing a Miller High Life, often reveling in simple pleasures that brought her happiness.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her grandson, Sam Kiss, who put his life on hold for the last year to care for her full time, and Compassus Hospice for the gentle and loving care they provided to Sharon during her final year. Their compassion made an immeasurable difference during a time of need.
Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Arnold, great granddaughter Bronwyn Marriah, her parents Nels Jensen and Anne Wolke, and her beloved younger sister Sandra Salbashian. The picture featured hung above her bed so she could see "her Sandy" every night and morning. As we remember Sharon, we celebrate the love and support she provided, which will continue to resonate with her family and friends for years to come.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 9th, 2025. Details of time and location will be sent out as soon as arrangements have been finalized. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to help support Cerebral Palsy Agency-Racine/RADD (3015 Pritchard Dr., Mt. Pleasant, WI 53406) or the Alzheimer's Association.
